Hôtel Paritculier
French Hotel Particulier
This design for a Parisian Gallery offers public and private access to functions of a Hôtel Particulier. The focus of our program prioritized the sequencing of space while also attempting to regularize geometries along Rue Francois Miron, west of Hôtel de Beauvais. To accomplish this, I looked at several precedents for the typology which aided in servicing a preservation lab, exhibition spaces, and library collection required on the ground and first floor.
Context given for our site—roughly 21,760 sq. ft.
Main elevation along Rue François Miron.
Transverse (top) and longitudinal section (bottom) showcasing entry court and garden space.
Ground Floor with lobby and grand stair, preservation lab, exhibition room, and administration offices.
First Floor with reading rooms, a librarian's office, and cafe patio space overlooking the garden below.
